Americorps VISTA with Lula Lake Land Trust

Lookout Mountain’s Lula Lake Land Trust has a rare opening for an Americorps VISTA to serve as the land trust’s Environmental Education and Volunteer Programming Coordinator, starting in April of 2017.

The VISTA will serve the 2nd year of a 3-year grant term and will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • maintaining existing partnerships with educators and volunteers,
  • assisting staff with grant writing and fundraising,
  • tracking visitation and volunteer time,
  • assisting with the creation of a virtual map for public use and enhancement of educational programming and
  • forming new partnerships to expand the organization’s capacity to serve the community and protect the land and water…

This is an excellent fit for a recent or soon-to-be college graduate, someone interested in non-profit management, environmental education, volunteer recruitment and management, conservation science and many other related areas of interest.

Benefits include:

  • monthly stipend
  • regional trainings
  • mileage reimbursement
  • health coverage
  • education award
  • opportunities for college credit

Contact our office if you have questions: or 706-820-0520. Interviews will begin in February, and applicants must apply first through the Americorps website.  Click here to apply.

Please apply by February 24, 2017.
