Open Gate Day

The core property of the Land Trust, including Lula Lake and Lula Falls, is open on the first and last Saturday of each month, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern (excluding certain holidays) and the first and last Sunday of the month, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. (Sundays begin in May and end in November). Adopt A Stream Volunteer Training

Join us and learn how to monitor water quality and help protect your watershed! Chemical and Macroinvertebrate Training for volunteers. Contact vista@lulalake.org to participate in this free training. The Chemical Monitoring workshop is designed to teach volunteers about basic stream water chemistry and how to conduct the chemical tests using hand-held field equipment. The basic set of tests that volunteers are asked to conduct includes dissolved oxygen, conductivity, pH, and temperature. Advanced tests may include alkalinity, phosphate and nitrate-nitrogen.
